New Britain residents looking for employment opportunities are invited to come by the main library to get FREE gently used business professional clothing and accessories!

Join us for Chess Club at the library on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. No registration required. All skill levels welcome!

Kids ages 7-12 are invited to join us at the library for an opportunity to play chess! There will be a lesson and time to play. Registration is required.

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

Each month, we will discuss a music biography! The selection for January is My Cross to Bear by Gregg Allman. Copies of the book are available at the Jefferson Branch Library. Registration for this program is required.

The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Join Librarian Cara for a snow day at the library! Together, we will make and experiment with our own fake snow. This program is best for kids ages 7-12.

Join us for a Playlist Party where teens create the ultimate themed playlist together! Share your favorite songs, discover new music, and help add your flair to our collaborative soundtrack for the month!

New Britain resident, Jimmy Golon, will present a slideshow of pictures of Roosevelt Junior/Middle School from 1926-1989. The presentation will be narrated by Roosevelt's former principal, Dr. Ostopchuck.

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories!
