Board of Trustees

The New Britain Public Library Board exists as a committee of The New Britain Institute which was incorporated by special act of the General Assembly in 1858. 

The operation of the New Britain Public Library is governed by its Board of Trustees, in accordance with the State Statutes affecting public library service.

Serving on the Board of Trustees for the New Britain Public Library is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community. As a Board member, you will gain valuable experience in governance, strategic planning, and financial oversight, while working alongside a diverse group of passionate individuals dedicated to supporting the Library’s mission.
