New Britain resident, Jimmy Golon, will present pictures and slides of New Britain throughout the years. 

Join Alderwoman Candyce Scott, as she shares her book, Gorgy Goes to School. After the reading, we will enjoy tea and cookies! This program is best for kids ages 3-8, accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary.

Start your child on the road to reading! Storytime features reading aloud, songs and fingerplays. There is time for children and adults to play with toys and practice early literacy skills together.

New Britain residents looking for employment opportunities are invited to come by the main library to get FREE gently used business professional clothing and accessories!

Join us for Chess Club at the library on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. No registration required. All skill levels welcome!

Kids ages 7-12 are invited to join us at the library for an opportunity to play chess! There will be a lesson and time to play.

Each month, we will discuss a music biography! The selection for January is My Cross to Bear by Gregg Allman. Copies of the book are available at the Jefferson Branch Library. Registration for this program is required.

The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
