Join Librarian Cara for a fun and engaging STEAM program designed to help kids work together, grow creative skills and engage in different STEAM concepts! This program is for kids ages 7-12, and no registration is required.

If your child is interested in learning to play chess, then join us for this child centered weekly chess workshop! Attendees will receive chess lessons and there will be time for them to play against others their age.

Come to the Jefferson Branch Library and join us for stories and music! This program is for kids ages 4 and under, with an adult.

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

Join us for story time for children ages 2½-3½, accompanied by an adult! Build your child’s early literacy skills (talking, singing, reading, playing and writing) with stories, fingerplays, songs, a simple craft and time to play with toys.

The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Compete in a series of real-life challenges inspired by your favorite video games in our first-ever Library Olympics! Test your skills, earn points, and go for the gold in this fast-paced, gamer-friendly event.

Come join our Senior Sleuths Book Club!  This month's book is Amity and prosperity: One family and the fracturing of America by Eliza Griswold.

Join us for a fun and educational program for young voices to grow! Learn confident speaking, effective persuasion, and presentation skills. This program is best for kids ages 9-12, and registration is required.

Join the Evening Book Club for this month's selection, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey by Walter Mosley. New members are always welcome!

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories!

Join Crafty Creatives Club this week to make pastel jellyfish! Using chalk pastels on black paper, we will make beautiful, underwater art! No registration necessary.

Welcome to Crochet Club!

Create collage artwork in celebration of women's history month! No experience is required, and all materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own!
