Introducing the NBPL Crochet Club!

Short sessions with legal advisors at the library. Register to be assigned a 15-minute appointment with a lawyer; start times are 5:30, 5:45, 6:00, 6:15, and 6:30pm. Please plan to bring any relevant documentation to your session.

Kids ages 5 and below are invited to our second Baby Rave! Dress up and come prepared to dance to some nursery rhyme techno, blow lots of bubbles and have a blast!

Are you interested in learning English? Do you want to practice your English pronunciation and conversation skills in a casual group setting?

Join us for Chess Club at the library on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. No registration required. All skill levels welcome!

Learn and practice techniques for painting miniature figurines!

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.  

Representatives from the Friendship Service Center's Hope Connection Center will be at the library to assist individuals facing or experiencing homelessness. Individuals may meet with a representative on Mondays between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Join us for an instrumental experience with Ryan Mitten. Mitten enjoys playing a range of music including folk music that includes bluegrass, Irish and country, as well as early 20th century sing-alongs to engage his audiences.

Make a whimsical keychain out of metal bottle caps and UV resin! 

Decorate the bottle cap with scrapbook paper, pressed flowers, and more! 

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories!
