Events at Main
One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.
Representatives from the Friendship Service Center's Hope Connection Center will be at the library to assist individuals facing or experiencing homelessness. Individuals may meet with a representative on Mondays between 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Want to hang out with other artists? Join our Teen Coloring Club! We supply the artist-quality crayons, pencils, pens and coloring pages, to spark your creativity.

A self service fax machine is located on the first floor of the New Britain Public Library.
Faxes cost:
- $1.75 first page
- $1.00 each additional page
Home Delivery

Home Delivery Service is specifically designed for New Britain residents who are temporarily or permanently unable to visit the library due to health or mobility issues.
Library Visits

Makerspace

The Makerspace is a creative hub where individuals come together to craft, invent, and explore. Whether you're interested in traditional crafts or cutting-edge technology, our space is equipped with a wide variety of tools and materials to help you create, learn, and experiment. Join us to develop new skills, share your ideas, and bring your projects to life.
Meeting Rooms

Our Main Library's Community Room is available for nonprofit and community member use. The Hawley Room, also at the Main Library, is open to organizations/groups who work with children. Both rooms are booked through the Library website.
Printing & Copying

Printing is available for public use at the New Britain Public Library.
Copies are:
- 15 cents/per page for Black & White
- 25 cents/per page for Color
Wireless printing is available through Princh using the code 108344.
Public Computers

The Library provides free public computer access.
Scanning

Out flatbed scanner allows for documents and photos up to 11x17 to be scanned and saved to a USB, sent to an email address, saved to a google drive, or saved to a mobile device (using a QR code).
Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library. Users can connect by selecting the "NBPL- Public" network.
