Event Details

This event has been postponed to Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 pm. 

New Britain resident, Jimmy Golon, will present a slideshow of pictures of Roosevelt Junior/Middle School from 1926-1989. The presentation will be narrated by Roosevelt's former principal, Dr. Ostopchuck. 

Jimmy has been researching New Britain history since 1991, with a major interest in the construction of the highway. He has interviewed folks who have been impacted by the highway construction, as well as the infamous Night of Fires in 1971. 

Note: In the event of inclement weather, the snow date for this event is Thursday, March 5th.
