Join Librarian Cara and Mr. Place for the first Homeschool Session of 2026! Together we will engage in LEGO challenges to learn about different STEAM concepts! This program is for kids ages 4-12, and registration is required.

Storytime for children ages 3-5. Children will build their literacy skills with stories, fingerplays, songs, and a craft or a short film. No registration necessary.

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories! 

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

Want to learn to machine and hand sew but don’t know where to start? This workshop series is for you! 

The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Bullet journaling can be a great tool in creating a plan, schedule or even daily diary to help you navigate school and other areas of life.

Join us to sculpt and paint custom worry stones in the Makerspace! A worry stone is a small stone with an indent for your thumb used to relieve stress and anxiety, perfect for bringing a fresh start to the new year.
