Welcome to Junk Journal Club! 

End of life planning session with a representative from New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home.

Listen to bedtime stories at the library! This program is best for children ages 3-8. Adults are welcome to listen along with their children. Enjoy stories and a short film or craft! No registration necessary.

Start your child on the road to reading! Join us for story time featuring a read aloud, songs and fingerplays. There will be time for children and adults to play with toys and practice early literacy skills together.

Drop in to the Jefferson Branch Library for some reading time, board games, crafts and calming music!

We will have something for everyone, including a family story time at 12:30pm; come spring into a new season at the library!

Come to New Britain Public Library for a food pantry hosted by My Portion Inc. 

If your child is interested in learning to play chess, then join us for this child centered weekly chess workshop! Attendees will receive chess lessons and there will be time for them to play against others their age.

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

Join us for story time for children ages 2½-3½, accompanied by an adult! Build your child’s early literacy skills (talking, singing, reading, playing and writing) with stories, fingerplays, songs, a simple craft and time to play with toys.

The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Calling all pop culture fans! Enjoy some snacks and prove your fandom prowess in this trivia night styled after the game show "Um, Actually." 

The New Britain Public Library and the American Job Center have partnered to continue our one-on-one Job Information and Career Resources sessions that will take place on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

Do you enjoy trying new foods? Do you like trying new things and discussing them with others? Join us on the 4th Monday of the month for cookbook club!

Join us for a fun and educational program for young voices to grow! Learn confident speaking, effective persuasion, and presentation skills. This program is best for kids ages 9-12, and registration is required.

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories!
