The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Make your own buttons based on one of the six featured Black makers and inventors, or choose your own Black innovator! 

Join Librarian Cara to experiment with a different kind of painting! Together we will make beautiful, colorful art to take home! This program is best for kids ages 7-12, and no registration is required.

Join Librarian Cara and Mr. Place to learn about optical illusions! Together we will talk about what an optical illusion is, create our own kaleidoscopes and make some cool art!

Join us for storytime for children ages 3-5. Kids will build their literacy skills with stories, fingerplays, songs, and a craft or a short film! No registration necessary.

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories! 

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

This is a weekly club for crocheters of all skill levels to chat, crochet, and chill together. This is a club and social group, not a class.

We will sculpt, bake, and paint our page holders so we can add our own personal flair to reading!
