Come to the Jefferson Branch Library and join us for stories and music! This program is for kids ages 4 and under, with an adult.

Meet and learn about the guinea pigs from the Hungerford Nature Center, followed by storytime
with Miss JoAnn.

Start your child on the road to reading! Storytime features reading aloud, songs and fingerplays. There is time for children and adults to play with toys and practice early literacy skills together.

Join us for Chess Club at the library on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. No registration required. All skill levels welcome!

Join Librarian Cara and Mr. Place to learn all about penguins! There will be a story time, discussion and two activities! This program is for kids ages 4-12, and registration is required.

Come join our Senior Sleuths Book Club!  This month's book is: The Poisoner's Handbook: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New York by Deborah Blum. 

Do you have old photos that you would like to digitally preserve? VHS tapes you would like to convert to DVD? Old film negatives you would love to save? Library staff can work with you to save those precious memories! 

New Britain residents looking for employment opportunities are invited to come by the main library to get FREE gently used business professional clothing and accessories!

Kids ages 7-12 are invited to join us at the library for an opportunity to play chess! There will be a lesson and time to play. Registration is required.

One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

The Homework Center is available for New Britain teens in grades 6 to 12 on Mondays and Wednesdays (except on holidays or school closures), from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
