One-on-one technology assistance is offered Mondays from 10-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. Individuals may register for up to two 30 minute sessions per month by calling 860-224-3155 x125 or stopping by the Information Desk.

Join us for story time for children ages 2½-3½, accompanied by an adult! Build your child’s early literacy skills (talking, singing, reading, playing and writing) with stories, fingerplays, songs, a simple craft and time to play with toys.

Join us for story time for children ages 3-5! Children will build their literacy skills with stories, fingerplays, songs, and a craft or a short film. No registration necessary.

Start your child on the road to reading! Join us for a story time that features reading aloud, songs and fingerplays. There will be time for children and adults to play with toys and practice early literacy skills together.

Are you interested in learning English? Do you want to practice your English pronunciation and conversation skills in a casual group setting?

Patrons ages 15 and up are invited to join us in learning a new craft for National Craft Month – Felt Crafts!

New Britain resident, Jimmy Golon, will present a slideshow of pictures of Roosevelt Junior/Middle School from 1926-1989. The presentation will be narrated by Roosevelt's former principal, Dr. Ostopchuck. 

Much of what we learn about Connecticut’s past comes from a colonized perspective that has almost completely left out the voices of Indigenous people who have called this land home for over 12,000 years.

Listen to bedtime stories at the library! This program is best for children ages 3-8. Adults are welcome to listen along with their children. Enjoy stories and a short film or craft! No registration necessary.
